Does a Workshop Course really need to be 1 hour? Can it be shorter? Longer?

A Workshop Course can definitely be shorter or longer than 1 hour. The important thing is to make sure you're delivering your content in a way that will best provide your students with the instant clarity and results your workshop promises. If you can get that done in 1 hour, that is fine; if it takes longer than 1 hour, that is fine, too.

If your workshop course exceeds 2 hours, consider simplifying some steps. Remember, participants are looking for transformation, not an overload of information. Alternatively, you could remove some content and offer it as a PDF download or in a workbook. Since you're delivering this live, it's crucial to ensure that people can stay engaged throughout the entire session!

One thing to keep in mind if you decide to have a workshop course that runs less than 1 hour is that the perceived value may go down. If you don't have enough content for the last 20-30 minutes to make it a 1-hour workshop, then add on a great 20-30 minute Q&A at the end. If you know you won't have a bunch of questions coming in Live, then prepare several in advance that you know your ideal customer might have and start with those.
