Have you ever changed the name of a course when you launched the second time, and would you recommend doing so?

It’s totally fine to change the name of your course the second time you launch it, as long as you’re willing to do the work to change it in multiple places (inside your training, on the sales page, in your emails and webinar, etc.) and that you communicate in advance to your existing students

When you rename your course, and/or update the branding, it’s important to get clear with your students and set expectations on what’s going on (will they get access to the new program, has anything else changed besides the name, etc.). If the reason you changed the name is important to the student, make sure you explain it in an email or video in advance before you start promoting to a new audience.

I did this with two of my products when we changed “The Facebook Marketing Profit Lab” into “The Profit Lab.” We communicated to our students that we had made updates to the program that went beyond Facebook marketing and we wanted the new name to reflect that. We also changed an old program, “List Builders Lab” to “List Builders Society,” because when we added Digital Course Academy to our product suite, we felt that “Society” and “Academy” were more aligned and created a more cohesive brand. Because the shift was more subtle, we didn’t make a big deal to our students, but we did communicate that there would be a new look and feel and name and that they still had access to the program.
