How do I niche down or narrow my niche?

The more specific you can get, the better.  (Or as we like to say, the riches are in the niches!) It can feel very scary to get more specific with your niche, but when you do, your audience is more likely to find you, resonate with you, and see you as their go-to source.

I used to be “for everyone,” and when someone asked a question who wasn’t my ICA (about a brick-and-mortar store or a physical product), I would get anxious because I knew I wasn’t the right person to answer them. If you get that anxious feeling when someone comes to you, that’s a great indicator that they are not the person you want to be serving and you should narrow down more.

Now, I only serve those who want to create digital courses in their online business, and I can confidently answer all the questions that come my way. I was scared to narrow my niche, but I knew it would serve me better, I would be a better educator and I could create content that would serve my specific niche. Remember, if you’re speaking to everyone, you’ll end up speaking to no one. Revisit Module 1, Lesson 1 to get clear on how you define your ICA.
