What if I don’t feel like an expert in my topic yet?

You don’t need to know everything to teach — you only need to be a few steps ahead of your audience. Most people don’t want to learn from someone who seems untouchable; they want to learn from someone relatable, someone who understands their struggles and can guide them step by step.

Instead of focusing on what you don’t know, shift your focus to:

  • The experiences you do have and the results you’ve gotten (for yourself or others).
  • The specific challenges your ICA is facing and how you can help them move forward.
  • The fact that no one knows everything — your job is to share what you know now, and you’ll keep learning along the way.

Your expertise is in your experience. Own it.
